NDIS Chiropractic Care in Umina Beach
At Chiro Pro we welcome NDIS participants and understand the important role chiropractic care can play in supporting people living with a disability to move better, manage pain and maintain their independence. We accept self managed and plan managed NDIS funding, making it straightforward to access the care you need.
What Is the NDIS?
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is an Australian Government program that provides funding to eligible people with a permanent and significant disability. NDIS funding can be used to access a range of supports and services — including allied health care like chiropractic — that help participants achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.
How Chiropractic Can Help NDIS Participants
Chiropractic care can support NDIS participants in a number of ways, including:
- Managing chronic pain and musculoskeletal conditions
- Improving mobility, movement and physical function
- Reducing reliance on pain medication
- Supporting postural health and independence with daily activities
- Providing rehabilitation exercises to build strength and improve function
- Complementing other therapies and supports in a participant’s plan
Whether you’re dealing with a specific injury, chronic pain, or functional limitations related to your disability, Chris will work with you to develop a treatment plan focused on your individual goals.
Who We Can See
Chiro Pro is not a registered NDIS provider, which means we are able to see participants who are either:
- Self managed — where you manage your own NDIS funding and can choose any qualified provider
- Plan managed — where a plan manager handles your funding and can pay providers on your behalf, including unregistered providers like Chiro Pro
If you are agency managed (where the NDIA manages your funding directly), unfortunately we are unable to see you under your NDIS funding at this stage. You are always welcome to attend as a private patient however, and we can discuss your options when you call.
How to Book as an NDIS Participant
Booking at Chiro Pro as an NDIS participant is straightforward:
- Check that your NDIS plan includes funding for improved health and wellbeing or improved daily living — these are the categories chiropractic typically falls under
- Confirm with your plan manager (if plan managed) that they can process payments to unregistered providers
- Contact Chiro Pro to discuss your needs and book your initial appointment
- Bring your NDIS plan details and any relevant documentation to your first visit
If you’re unsure whether chiropractic is covered under your plan or have questions about the process, give us a call and we’ll do our best to help you work it out.
Not Sure Yet? Come In Anyway
If you’d like to get started before your NDIS funding is sorted, you are welcome to attend as a private patient and pay out of pocket. Once your funding is confirmed we can transition your care across to your NDIS plan. Give us a call and we can talk you through your options.

Frequently Asked Questions
What NDIS funding categories cover chiropractic?
Chiropractic care typically falls under Improved Health and Wellbeing or Improved Daily Living in an NDIS plan. Your plan manager or support coordinator can confirm which categories are included in your specific plan and whether chiropractic is covered.
Can my support coordinator refer me to Chiro Pro?
Yes — if your support coordinator identifies chiropractic care as appropriate for your goals, they can refer you directly to Chiro Pro. You’re also welcome to request a referral to us specifically if you’d prefer to see Dr. Chris Metcalfe.
Do you charge the NDIS price guide rate?
Yes, we charge in accordance with the NDIS pricing arrangements for chiropractic services. Your plan manager will be familiar with these rates. Give us a call if you have any questions about fees before your first appointment.
What if I’m agency managed?
Unfortunately we are unable to see agency managed participants under their NDIS funding as we are not a registered provider. You are always welcome to attend as a private patient however, and we’d encourage you to speak with your support coordinator about whether transitioning to plan management might give you more flexibility in choosing your providers.
